Top Phuket Beaches - reviews, advantages and disadvantages, best and most beautiful spots
Содержание

The center of tourism in Thailand is paradise Phuket, the country's largest island and a well-known vacation destination for beach lovers around the world. Phuket is great because it offers a wide variety of vacations in different parts of the island - and the easiest way to describe it is by the beaches.

Each beach is unique in its own way, and you need to drive through them yourself to understand their energy. But if you're not in Phuket yet, or just don't want to waste your time driving around and choose the best option right away - in this article I've described the features, advantages and disadvantages of the most popular beaches on the island so you can choose the right place for you. For convenience, I have rated each beach on important parameters on a 5-point scale.

Accessibility - the ease of access to the beach. Some beaches are close to roads, while others are a long walk or boat ride away.

Number of people - some beaches are more popular and can be crowded, especially during peak tourist season. Secluded beaches offer a quiet atmosphere for romance or family vacations. Which to choose depends on your preferences, but I'm an introvert, so beaches with few people get a high score.

Nightlife - how accessible the beach is to night bars, clubs and entertainment venues. High score - if the nightlife is active.

Snorkeling - how diverse is the underwater world of the beach for snorkeling or diving - corals, fish, visual appearance.

Sand - the texture and color of the sand can vary greatly from beach to beach. Beaches with fine soft sand will have a higher rating.

Infrastructure - how developed are the amenities on and around the beach. Restaurants, roads, markets, toilets, stores, hospitals and other important places for both vacation and permanent residence.

Beauty — is a subjective assessment, but I will try to describe my feelings in text. I prefer calm natural beaches with palm trees and trees.

Cost - average prices for housing near the beach. But in most cases you can find different options - from inexpensive hostels to luxury resorts. Therefore, the estimate is very approximate, it is better to search on sites like Booking.

Attractions - are there interesting places near the beach. For example, temples, markets or viewpoints.

Water quality - assessing the transparency and cleanliness of the water. Some beaches may have crystal clear water, ideal for snorkeling, while others may have murky water.

Patong

Patong Beach, known for its active nightlife, is Phuket's busiest beach. The 3.5 km long beach is ideal for water sports enthusiasts, with jet skiing, parasailing and windsurfing often offered due to the large number of tourists.

During the day you can stroll along the promenade and visit local restaurants and cafes - Patong is one of the most developed beaches, practically a city. Therefore, you can find almost everything from massage parlors to a quality hospital here.

At night, the beach turns into a nightlife center with bustling nightclubs, restaurants, bars and the famous Bangla Road. By around 2am, things quiet down and couples leave the clubs for the beach or go home.

A great option for lovers of active nightlife. But because of the large number of tourists, cab drivers, massage parlors, nightclubs, ladyboys, I would not recommend this place for normal life, work or family vacation.

Patong is definitely worth visiting a few times, but it is better to settle nearby on quieter beaches - Bang Tao or Karon, for example.

Kata Beach with its soft white sand, turquoise waters and tropical nature is a popular destination for family and romantic vacations. The 1.5 km long beach is divided into two parts: Kata Noi and Kata Yai.

Kata Noi offers a quiet retreat from the crowds of tourists, while Kata Yai is a hub of activity with many restaurants, stores and water sports facilities.

Nai Harn

Nai Harn Beach is nestled between lush green hills in the southern part of the island. With soft golden sand, clear water and a tranquil atmosphere, this beach is ideal for those looking for a relaxing vacation away from the crowds of tourists.

Nearby Nai Harn Lake is ideal for picnics and paddleboarding, while the village of Rawai offers fresh seafood. Overall, the Ravai area is quite well developed, with many restaurants and attractions. If you want, you can quickly drive to Phuket town, or visit the picturesque beaches of Kata.

Many tourists who come to Phuket for a long period of time or live here permanently, choose Ravai to live because of the good balance of tranquility, infrastructure and low cost, because the main tourist flow goes to the western beaches.

Even during the rainy season, the beach does not have such strong waves as on the west coast of the island. For snorkeling enthusiasts, one of the best snorkeling beaches in Phuket - Yanui and Ao Sein - are nearby.

The northern part of Bang Tao is less developed, here you can see local fishing boats on the shore, and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere. The nearby Laguna Phuket complex offers a wide range of activities including horseback riding, golf and water sports.

The beach is convenient for a relaxing vacation - you can drive 30 minutes to Patong or the airport. Also nearby is one of Phuket's most beautiful beaches, Surin, and the most secluded Laem Sing. Due to the large number of wealthy tourists in the area is well developed infrastructure.

Laem Sing

Located between Kamala Beach and Surin Beach, Laem Sing is a secluded cove accessed via a winding path from Surin Beach.

The beach infrastructure is minimal, with only a small Thai restaurant along the path. That's the beauty of Laem Singa - the beach rarely has more than 5 people on it, and most of the time it is completely empty.

Laem Sing's natural beauty is evident in the golden sand, crystal clear water and rocky cliffs that frame the bay. The secluded location of the beach means fewer vacationers and a tranquil atmosphere.

Although there is no accommodation directly on the beach, the nearby beaches of Surin and Kamala offer a wide range of options. The panoramic views from Laem Singh Viewpoint, located directly above the beach, will not leave you indifferent.

Despite its size, Mai Khao has limited infrastructure and a tranquil atmosphere, making it an ideal getaway from the busier beaches.

The golden sand here is coarser than other beaches, but the beauty lies in the natural surroundings and tranquility. There is little nightlife here and the beach is rarely crowded.

Accommodation options range from mid-range to luxury, including the JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa. Nearby attractions include Splash Jungle Water Park, which offers fun for the whole family, and Sirinat National Park, which showcases a variety of ecosystems.

The facilities here are the most basic, with the only restaurant offering food and drinks. The real attraction of the beach is its unspoiled natural Beauty: soft white sand and clear calm waters.

Banana Beach is a great place for swimming and snorkeling. Due to its remote location, there are few visitors and there is no accommodation directly on the beach. The nearby Coral Island (Koh Hae) is great for snorkeling and water sports.
